Houses shaped by the land they sit on

Fieldwork is a small architecture studio designing quiet, lasting homes for hillsides, shorelines, and open meadows.

Our approach

We start with the site, not the floor plan.

Before a single line is drawn, we walk the land in every season: tracing the sun, the wind, the slope, and the trees worth keeping. The house follows what we find.

Clients & collaborators

Built slowly, for a long life.

We take on a handful of homes each year, so every client works directly with the architects who design their house, from the first walk on site to the final walkthrough.
